Rotary's Award of Honour to President Pranab

Rotary International has awarded its highest award- “Award of Honour”- to the President Of India, Pranab Mukherjee. The award is given to Heads of governments or countries in recognition of his/her service to the humanity and to his/ her country while upholding values reflected in Rotary's motto- “Service Above Self”.

  • President of Rotary International, Ron Burton, presented the award
  • The award recognised country's achievment in controlling the menace of Polio and declaring itself free after three consecutive years of non-reporting of any new case.
  • President Mukherjee also lauded Rotary's work towards eredication of Polio by leading movement worldwide and in particular in India.
