  • ISRO bags 2014 Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development.   
    • The Indian space agency is recognized for its contribution to strengthen international cooperation in peaceful use of outer space.
    • ISRO has also played an important role to promote sustainable social and economic development and address basic needs of the people in remote and rural areas of the country by using advanced and cutting edge technologies.
